Paella Master Jose Manuel Gonzales will lead us in a gourmet experience making paella from local ingredients. Jose, as well as his son, John, are carrying on the patriarch’s tradition of gathering family and friends around a paella. Father Juan Manuel immigrated from Spain, in 1951.
As a group, (using social distancing and masks when indoors), we will prep the ingredients including Joe’s special broth.
Nettles will provide the 22″ paella pan, along with the two ring burner and stand, which will be available to guests all year long. The class is limited to 8 people, staying at Nettles, in 2 groups of 4. One group will stay in the FarmHouse, and the other in the Farmhouse Suite. Each group needs to be in a bubble to participate. We will prep in the FarmHouse kitchen, and cook and eat outside on the covered deck.
Cost is $65 per person, and does not include lodging. The event begins at 2 pm.
