Accepting the Good Food Award for Lummi Island Wild!

Last week I was in San Francisco to receive a Good Food Award on behalf of Lummi Island Wild, for our smoked sockeye and our ikura. Alice Waters and Michael Pollan placed the award around my neck, and gave me a hug. That was worth the trip by itself! Then onto Jackson Hole, where I spoke at a special sushi event called Udatsu Sushi, at Caldera House in Teton Village. This pop-up restaurant, at $500 a plate, served up astonishing sushi, a total of 18 per meal. They served our sockeye salmon to small groups of 12 guests, who accepted each course from the hand of the master chef. I was one of the lucky guests one night. Such an honor for Lummi Island Wild!
